This is a strategic and operational leadership role that sits on the Senior Leadership Team. The successful candidate will be expected to add value from day one — someone who knows how to take ownership, drive accountability, and lead from the front. What the Role Involves: Designing and leading the Food Safety, Quality Assurance & Environmental strategy Managing and mentoring a strong on-site team (4 direct reports) Ensuring GFSI , HACCP , regulatory and customer standards are fully met Leading internal and external audit programs Owning CAPA and NCR systems to drive real-time improvements Partnering across operations, supply chain, and senior leadership to drive results Monitoring and reporting on performance metrics with a continuous improvement focus Overseeing budget, quality performance, and compliance risk What We're Looking For: 5 years in food manufacturing QA, with at least 2 years at Head of or Senior Technical Manager level Degree in a relevant field (Master’s in Microbiology preferred) Deep working knowledge of GFSI , HACCP, FSANZ, BRC or SQF Experience in high-risk categories such as red meat or seafood is highly regarded Strong systems knowledge – SAP, SharePoint, Food Safety Portals Confident leadership style — builds trust, accountability, and performance Commercially aware — understands how quality ties to operational success Someone who takes ownership and isn’t afraid to get stuck in from day one This is a career-defining opportunity to join a respected food brand, lead change, and make a real impact on both people and performance.
